Heya,

The EOS-M in the house in natural light. My 2 year old is napping on the cordaroy bean bag chair. Ambient window light used only.

Love how well the little APS-C sensor in the EOS-M can handle lower light even at moderate ISO (here ISO 800) and the sharpness of the 22mm F2 STM pancake is just wonderful.

SOOC shot with 1:1 crop for sharpness and clarity and noise grain inspection:

Sorry if this has been discussed in here before, but my iPad is acting slow trying to search. How does the Fotodiox adapter compare to the OEM canon adapter? My only concern is focus speed. Build quality on most Fotodiox products I have handled has been excellent.

Edit: Nevermind, I found brand new genuine OEM adapters on eBay for under $60, that makes the price difference between the two less than $20. For that cost might as well go for the OEM piece.

Heya,

The whitebox Canon is like $50~60, making it not worth even getting a third party really. I still have the Fotodiox one, for $40ish I think it was. The whiteboxes weren't as prevalent at the time. That said, even though you already got the Canon one, if anyone else comes along and reads, the Fotodiox one is made very well, fits right, lenses autofocus as they should, fairly fast (for the kind of AF it is, that's the real limitation, not the adapter).

Very best,

Fun with the EOS-M, it went to the swamp with me today, and for a drive.

Envy you:)
Very nice.
This is truly the best part of EOS M that no one understand what is in side this PnS skin tiny camera.
Wonder what security would say about Sony Mirrorless!

I took my wife's EOS M along to a few Christmas parties and got decent results. My chances of getting a good pic when I handed off the camera to family or friends went up about 100% over handing over my 5D. All with the 22mm.
