Ordered mine yesterday. I really didn't want to take my dslr on my trip to europe in a couple of months. This seems ideal for the price.

I got mine brand new for $70, just wait and you'll find a good deal. I wasn't planning on getting it until I saw that deal.

This thread is going to blow up in the near future, I love it when a product everyone see's as "DOA" becomes popular, pure vindication

If canon would've priced it around $600 at launch I think they would have avoided most of the negative press.

I'm seeing it for $299 on amazon with the 22mm lens or for $349 with the 18-55. Is that right?

It might be worth it for me to buy two, each with a different lens, and then sell the extra body to make a few bucks.

Thank you. bw!

Yup, limited time offer, I'd jump on it! ;)

Wow. Like I said above, we could really make out here.

Think about it: You buy the camera with 22mm for 299.

Plus, buy the camera with 18-55 for $349. That lens is selling on Amazon for $249, which means you'd only have to sell the body for 100 bucks to break even. But, of course, it would probably easily fetch $200 for the body new (especially after this sale ends) and it's a win-win situation for everyone.

Dang! I figured that after the firmware update the price would rise.

Thank you. bw!

^Look at the specs for the new 70D. I'd bet a good amount of money that the EOS M mark 2 is on the horizon ;)

Well, by golly, I just bought it. Can't believe it was $299. That's just crazy.

It won't be in on time for my cruise (leaving tomorrow). Luckily we have people staying at the house to receive it when it ships. I was a little nervous about that.

Dang, 299?!

Feels too good to be true. Amazon, on their first page, said: "In stock, but will take 2-3 days to process."

Then, I added it to the cart, and it said, "Out of stock, but will notify you when your order ships."

I confirmed the purchase and paid. Do you think they'll come back and say, "sorry, couldn't fulfill order."?

Thank you. bw!

I would almost buy a second one at that price to give as a gift to someone... the M is quite the great little camera and the firmware really made the AF thing a non-starter.

I love this camera. I feel so much better carrying this on family outings, knowing I'll get way better IQ than my wife's old Olympus P&S.

The ONLY thing I don't like is that when I wear the camera on a strap, and I take a picture, if I DON'T turn the camera off, when it bounces off me the touchscreen is active and hits all sorts of menus and such. I have to turn it off right after taking a shot. Gets to be a pain, but I can deal with it.

Did I say I loved this camera??? Lol...

And I hope the pictures start flowing into this forum in the next few weeks! I'm not as good as the rest of you, but I think I do ok.

I just ordered one today so I'll hopefully have some samples soon. I will have it just in time for my vacation in a week.

I wouldn't be surprised if an EOS-M 2 is released sometime in the fall
