Personally I think Adobe can handle all this at lower level if they wanted. But just like Microsoft and other software companies they force you to upgrade.

Guess I'll just do my conversions in DPP, save as 16 bit TIFF, and then import to Elements 10. Thanks for the extra hassle Adobe. :( Your forced marketing will come back to bite you in the end.

Our M showed up last night and we were able to play with it a little. The menu set up is really nice, after you get through it once, easy and quick to get from setting to setting. Will down load some pictures tonight and see if PSE11, LR4 and CS6 can read the RAW files from the M.

Suggestions welcome.

I had to upgrade to 4.2,,, LR4.1 wouldn't read the M RAW.

LR 4.2 was the version that introduced the colour correction tool. So that was well worth the free upgrade IMO.
I can't understand why people will happily pay for the latest gadgets but won't pay for the software to get the most out of them.

Here's one with the 100mm Macro L and adapter. Handheld at f/8.0, shutter 1/125.

Same with photoshop CS5. I don't see any technical reason why the raw files from my 5D MarkIII are supported and work perfectly fine, but not the EOS-M. Would rather not buy CS6 just for the EOS-M.

Although I agree that file support should be updated through free upgrades even across versions (because I'm sure Adobe won't make a new version of CS just for the 70D!), I think you'd find your post-processing abilities quite improved by upgrading from CS5 to CS6. At least I did.

Beautiful! A 100L in front of the M must make for a real powerhouse combo.

Got the lowepro Santiago case. Found one open item at BB for $4 cheaper. M with 22mm f2 fits but I need to change the camera strap to something simpler like the hand strap.

Can I ask you guys who use bigger lenses on the M how you carry them around.
I'm a bit nervous about putting something like a 24-70 on it and using the supplied stap.
I'm pretty sure ill just use a hand strap but I'm intrigued what other use.

At first, I was really looking forward to using my bigger glasses with the M, but I just don't feel like doing that anymore. I mean, I got this little camera for its compactness and be a carry-all-the-time camera, so lugging around my bigger lenses just would not make too much sense (for me). Fortunately the IQ of 22mm exceeding my expectations is truly a pleasant surprise! Yes, once in a while would be cool but not often. I plan to just stick with the 22 & 18-55 for right now.

Speaking of cases, I highly recommend the Think Tank Mirrorless Mover 20 or even 30. I don't have the 24-70 anymore, but should fit quite comfortably.
