Here's a test with the EOS-M vs a OM-D and the 20mm 1.7.

scroll down to about half the page down.

Still not happy with the AF even with the firmware update, the Nikon and Sony ones are way way better. I've tested them and I'm a canon fanboy so I wouldn't talk crap on It just because.

Do you have 22mm or the kit lens?

22mm, Really it's just another firmware away from being awesome. It finds focus but then it hunts for some reason and until it finds it again. it's only like 2 seconds but it feels like 5 lol

from infinity to close, it takes 1.4 seconds to capture image (done with a stopwatch a few times).

if in the range and not too much off range, around 1.1 second to capture image. I imagine turning on continuous AF, you will get 1.1 consistently.

DSLR level of speed should be around 0.5 seconds (at it's slowest, and much faster if already tracked) or maybe a tad faster with the 1Dx.

the blackout time of the M is painfully slow.

Does the meke adapter wiggle at the point where meets the camera. Viltrox adapter loses signal unless its turned all the way to the left.

No wiggle on it. There is a slight give, probably less than a MM, but is stays on the axis of both mounting surfaces. I tried it on my 5d and it does the same. It does wobble or is not loose while being used.

And yes, even with the 40mm, it makes its foot print bigger!

QUOTED IMAGE

Can you take a close up of where the strap is attached to the camera? Did you lasso it around the lug? Or did you leave the metal piece from the end of the Canon strap?

Thanks!
