The RF-603 triggers will work with your camera and with your flashes in manual mode.

As mentioned above, you lose E-TTL... even if you mount a flash on the camera with the trigger in between - there is no E-TTL pass-through.

That's fine depending on your use, especially considering the price, but just be aware :)

yes, the 603's will work with all of those.. in manual only. yn-622c will work with ettl, and some other modes, you may wan to read up on the 622s here:

The triggers will fire the flash guns. That's all they will do.
If you want ETTL capabilities then you need to consider the YN-622c triggers. They will support ETTL between the camera and the flash units you own.

I have the RF603C myself. You may encounter a problem in that the triggers only support up to 1/250th shutter speed. They do not support High Speed Sync. Also, they are not 100% reliable. I'd say more between 80-90% reliability. Still great for amateur photography though.

One other thing to note that I've just thought of is the lack of screw on the triggers, so if you're mounting a flash onto the trigger, and then the trigger onto the camera, it can wobble a bit. Ideally I use these for a totally off-camera setup.

Yes, if 1/250'th will stop the action enough.. I think the yn-622 will be a better fit if you need shutter speeds above that and are shooting canon.

I thought the 603s could reach 1/320 and 602s only 1/250? (I have 602s and 250th is the max for sure. I have one set of 603s but haven't tested 320th yet)

I have one 602 trigger that was unreliable and found that the on/off switch was "loose" and wouldn't stay firmly in the "on" position, which is why is wasn't firing reliably. A tiny piece of tape to ensure it stayed all the way in "on" solves that...when it happens; it doesn't happen all the time. On a side note: the speedlight batteries will die LONG before the trigger batteries do when left on, so taping it "on" isn't an issue.

The 603 like the 602 is nothing more than just a wireless on/off switch to fire the strobe. The best it could ever do is the top sync speed of your camera, in your case 1/250.

I shot MB for 10 years, and found that 1/800th was needed. I used HSS of courfse, which could still deliver the fill light to get under helmet hoods, in forest or full sun.
I wish the YN-622C (not a mistyped YN-602) had been available! Their rapid response time would be very useful.

I tried retiring, but gave it up - it's a dead end

I had a canon st-e2 before for this kind of shots and i never think about off taking a shot at 1/250 because i had HSS!
But does the pocket wizards plus II have HSS? A friend of mine have them and they really stop the motion!
I think i'll consider the yn 622 just because they do HSS cause i dont use ETTL just manual!
