Oct 16, 2012 10:37 | #2 I do not get an abandoned feel from this. I think it has to do with the subject more than any PP you are doing. The windows and wall above the stairs simply look too clean and too modern to fit with that description, in my view. Also the green grass adds life which is contrary to something that has been abandoned. Looks like the sprinklers are still working Dmitriy Khaykin

gonzogolf dumb remark memorialized More info | Oct 16, 2012 10:41 | #3 Not really getting abandoned either. As mentioned above its the subject more than anything you've done with it. The paint might be a bit flaked, but the rails are intact and other than a bit of rust no sense of decay is present. Thats not to say it isnt a good enough photo, just not getting the abandoned vibe.

Oct 16, 2012 10:52 | #4 Here's my take on how this image might convey abandoned. I still don't like it though because the rail is just too nice looking. I burned the grass, reduced vibrance to -48, added contrast of +45, and reduced brightness by -40. And a crop. Image hosted by forum (619641) © ddk632 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW.
