Our daughter came to visit during the holidays and brought her fiance who we had never met. Here are three pics I took of them at a state parks near our home plus one in our backyard. BTW, I see on another thread that some folks are having difficulty viewing EXIF data with Opanda -- FYI the four pics here have embedded EXIF data and you should be able to see it with any EXIF viewer.

#1 - Signs like this are posted in most state parks here

Very nice family memories, Jerry. They definitely look like they're in love. Your daughter has a kind and pleasant face. :)

Good job keeping the reflection off the glasses in the last two.

Happy New Year, my friend!

Regards

Steve

Thanks Steve -- we're happy for them. They live in Atlanta and have been engaged only a short time. We had about given up that she would ever get married but, with one exception, didn't care all that much for any of her previous boyfriends. We think this guy was worth waiting for ;) .

Thanks Maureen -- it's my favorite also. They're astride the log you see in #2

Thanks! I'm a sport shooter and portraits like these are decidedly different from my normal stuff.

Me too! In action sports shots I much prefer very tigh crops but for the posed shots, other than mugs, I need to get all of the player in the photo. I wasn't sure these would work -- thanks for your vote of approval!

Love #3. Best wishes to the happy couple.

I went down to Southern Coastal Georgia in early October. I was fascinated with all the alligator signs. I'm from Pennsylvania, so all the little crabs, odd insects, trees, and humidity excited me. I got some awesome pictures down there. Love that area.

Thanks Danielle. We've not seen our daughter so happy in a long time and they seem to be compatible. They're not rushing into it -- wedding is planned for next October. Hopefully that'll give them enought time to make sure. We moved here just over 8 years ago when my wife retired -- it was a compromise on her part. She hates the humidity, bugs and nature stuff and I hate shoveling snow  . I love it here -- but then I was born and raised in Arkansas so bugs and humidity are nothing new to me.
