I have a set of those theater chairs (antique ones) down in the basement, but I hate sitting in that kind of chair. I like my big a** recliner! Mac users swear by their computers. My wife's boss is building a new house with a 36' X 16' HT in the basement that I get to help plan and build. Can't wait for that to get started. Nice setup by the way. SuzyView Cream of the Crop More info | Dec 29, 2005 13:16 | #5 I will take a picture and post later. I also have a 57 inch SONY in my basement. When we finished the basement we bought the TV first because we also hired a carpenter to put in oak cabinets around it. I have 5 BOSE speakers around the room and a really fantastic bass one in the cabinet. It's all HD. We bought what is called an "Entertainment" leather sofa that is shaped like a semi-circle with 2 large footrest things. It can fit 5 comfortable, 6 if we must. But I have to say, Mike, yours is impressive. Suzie - Still Speaking Canonese!

No big deal on the monitor, just a 27 inch Magnavox. The audio (my 'obsession') is an Onkyo TX-DS787 6.1 receiver with 6 Definitive Technology Pro Monitor 100's and a ProSub 100TL. Rick

The transmit the feel of the action to the furniture. I installed four shakers, one under the love seat and three under the full sofa. What a rush during action movies!! Thanks , Mike

I saw the shakers when I was putting things together, but it was enough of a hassle with the mgmt to get what I would call a 'basic' audio system, that shakers would have been over the edge (for me).The Onkyo has one feature I was determined to get - a phono input so I could continue to listen to vinyl when I wanted to. It seems that was hard to come by in a Home Theater receiver a couple of years ago. Anybody know how available they are now?Have Fun, Rick

I heard all of that when I was putting it together, but sometimes I want to have the built-in setup. When I did my first component system in 1967 I was more towards the leading edge, but now I just want to be able to occasionally listen to those vinyl LPs that I haven't already duplicated on CD. But that's just me. Rick

I don't have the foggiest how to do it, though. I already have the color Sony Commander, but I'd like that nice big screen right there. Anyone know how to do that? Mac users swear by their computers.
