First shot that I'm proud of

Im by no means a professional like many of you here. But like most, I'm here to learn.
I have no lights and no steady hands lol.
Taken on a dark day with just 2 lamps illuminating the subject.
With all of that said... what do ya think?

The angle is not at all flattering to your model, it makes the lower half of her body look larger than I'm sure it is.

Her hair blends in with the dark of the rug which makes her head look a bit odd too. Wouldn't mind seeing more of her eyes as well.

It's a really nice shot and I really like the composition, but I would have slightly more contrast for my taste!

Yeah nice shot. It different then what you often see here. Maybe a bit warm for my taste, but no big deal.

Thanks for the criticism, I'll take all of the comments into consideration next time. Anything else?
By the way, I kind of like the warmth of it, but I'll go back and cool it off a tad and see how it looks. The eyes though, I WISH they were a bit more open definitely. But this was just a friend of mine who can't stand to take pictures. Had to work with what I had haha

I actually like the warmth... but that is subjective. You could maybe just trying cooling it down a little bit as a compromise and see how that looks.

I agree about the pose though, not super flattering but I get what you were trying to do.

Yep I am no expert either but like the image too.I agree with the pose comments but what I do like is the soft gradiant of shadow youve captured eg: on the curve of her thigh and the darker side of the face, in my opinion this is not that easy to do.

Moon2003, it's very easy to capture those shadows when all you have to work with are 2 small house lamps lol.

Also, now that everyone mentions it, I guess the pose is a little unflattering. Blame my liking for thick thighs for not really noticing I guess

Just in case anyone was wondering

To me it looks like her body is angled downwards, on a slope downhill for example. I am personally not a fan of those types of poses. The model is very pretty, I love the outfit and carpet,they almost give it a 70s look. You could perhaps move her further down into the carpet to crop out the floor above her head.
