Took a personal day yesterday and headed up to the Hudson Valley with my cameras. I ran out of daylight and had to leave a million photo opportunities behind. I could easily spend the entire week up there.

Great shots Stan! I especially like #2. In that photo and several others you really captured the light from the foliage nicely. I grew up by the headwaters of the Hudson. It is beautiful most of the way to the ocean. Take two days some time and visit Tahawus!

#6 has a great feel to it - love the processing.

Great shots all the way around. Love the spooky house on #6. Your shutter speed on the water shots is perfect, IMO. Also love the brilliantly saturated colors.

The smaller falls was in Saugerties. The taller one was Kaaterskill. The house was in Ulster (I think). The lake shot in Newburgh. I burned some gas yesterday for sure but didn't mind.

Most of these were shot with 5D Classic and some with 1D MKIII. Lenses varied between 70-200 2.8, 16-35, and 24-70. Exposures also varied greatly. If there is a particular photo or two I could give you the specifics. Thanks, Stan

Thanks Katherine. It was a great day and thanks for your suggestions. I made it to Kaaterskill Falls but never made it to the main falls, only the ones out near the road.

I had it in my mind to make it to the North/South Lake nearby so I cut my Falls visit short. In hind sight going to the lakes was a waste of time. Nothing there very photo worthy and $8 to get in!

I really wish I had more time, there is soooooo much more to shoot up that way. Thanks again.
Stan
