What I don't understand is what type of film I can use to achieve color infrared and how to get the film developed, there are alot of options apparently. Can walgreens develop infrared or some online company, because I do not have the resources to do this myself? Thanks
In the ‘60s, Kodak developed a color IR Aero Ektachrome film for use by the armed forces to detect camouflage. Living leaves would look shades of red & magenta & dead ones, even though they looked green to the eye, would look shades of green ranging to black, so it was easy to see from pics taken from the air.
I don't know if it available any more, & you'll find the results very different in sunlight vs overcast days.
The grasshopper & the leaves were green if I remember correctly, I used a combination of K2 (yellow) + an 85B (salmon colored-warming) filters.

If you haven't processed color slide film before, I really wouldn't recommend it, but it can be done. And I'd never trust it to Walgreen's.
