Well, looks like the other major lighting companies have threads dedicated to use of their products (alien bees, Elinchromse, etc), yet Profoto is missing out!

Post and share images lit with your profoto strobes :)

The trick is to do the smoke in bursts behind the model and to capture it before it blends with the air too much (which it does quickly)

I do that for some shots, then when it creeps ahead use a fan to vent the area out before the next series (which is good because the smoke machine needs some time to heat up again anyways.
