Not at all. I guess my neighborhood was lucky. I only lost power for 3 hours on the day after the storm. I have a fish tank and that was what scared me. No power? Dead fish. 
It was only 3 hours. Thanks for asking.... Now, we have gas shortage problems. Fortunately, I don't need to use my car much other than once a week to LI (maybe). Now, NYC is using the odd and even number system to ration gas.
