I am so glad that I never knew (until yesterday) that our largest jumping spider (in the USA) the red-backed jumping spider can give one a nasty little bite. It must take a lot to get one of these guys to bite you but had I known that they did bite (I know, I know, I always tell my boys anything with a mouth can bite!) I probably would have never so freely handle these guys the way I do...lol.

As I was photographing this cutie he decided to groom himself and gave me a good shot of his chelicera. I was shocked at the size!
