Hello everyone!

I am organizing a group meet up for the PotN members of Socal! We are aiming for the Huntington Library for this meet up and would like to see who can make it!

The main goal of this meet up would be to take some nature/landscape/scenic photos and to have anyone that is interested in this type of photography, or bettering themselves in this style of work.

I am adding a poll for which day would be best for you, and then whichever day has the most votes will be it!
NOTE: You can select multiple days if multiple work for you!

ALSO! if we have 15+ people the admission is $11 as opposed to the usual $20.

For those of you not familiar with the Huntington gardens/library, more information can be found on their site here: http://www.huntington.org (external link)

Tripod use is allowed in the gardens, and not in the buildings. No lighting/models/etc. that would be deemed a 'professional' shoot by their standards. We would be fine as a group of photographers taking photos of the scenery.

Anyways, make sure to post if you have any questions, what days work for you, and if you want to go!

Best,
Rick

My wife (Missfire) and I voted for Friday, as there may be less people there on a weekday. We can do the weekend too. Just need some advance warning of the date so we can get someone to watch my Dad for the day.

Suggestions welcome.

I am thinking to either aim for next Sunday, the 28th of October, or the following weekend, November 3 or 4.

How does that sound for everyone?

I'd do Saturday the 3rd if that's the date you pick. Fridays also work for me.

I go there a lot and it is a great place to photograph.

For anyone interested HERE'S (external link) my album from the Huntington. Mostly flowers plus the wonderful Humming birds.

^^ never been to this place but thanks to Bob and those magnificent images now I know what to expect ^^.

I'm not too keen in using tripod but it looks like this place is a "must-have"....it looks like fun. Anyone in the OC wants to join and perhaps we can carpool..?
