Canon G12 Help!!!

I have the above camera and it seems to have gone bad. It is shooting all the pics very overexposed on each setting and they have fine vertical lines through them. I am thinking the sensor is toast. An

Any advice out there, maybe a reset that can be done? Thanks in advance for any help.
