Other for me. When there is a significant technology benifit (better ISO performance for instance) and I can save enough to afford it. $$$ is my issue it takes me a long time to save enough to add to my kit!

I had a 5D2 and a 7D and desperately wanted the IQ and low light capability of the 5D and the AF system on the 7D rolled into one. I got the 5D3 not just as the newest big thing but because it had all the abilities I was after and a lot more besides.
