Thats right folks,

This week , for the entire week I will have my 50mm f/1.4 on the 5dmk2 and thats all I will use. No zoom, just gunna use my two feet to get me in closer.

I think when you lose the fun in getting out and taking photos you should challenge yourself.

The 50mm will be my challenge, to come back with some nice, exciting and interesting images.

Try It!

Have fun! Hope your AF makes it to the end of the week...heyyooooooo....

No, but seriously...I love doing that...slap on one of the primes and head out...I love my UWA zoom, but every once in a while it's nice to have a break and do something different :D

Gotta love the full-frame + 50mm combo.

Hope you enjoy it!

I've tried something like that with my T2i+60mm for a day, and it was quite enjoyable. I really does make you think more about composition, and makes you grow as a photographer even when you eventually return to zooms, which are just too good to do without for too long.

This sounds like such a great idea, I just got a 50mm 1.8 I think I'll try this.

It is the challenge for me to took off my 50mm from my 5d and use L zooms instead.
And it is MF.

I've tried shooting with only the 50mm for a couple of hours, going with only one prime can be challenging

Indeed, especially while using such long ones with a crop.

I once used only primes for a long period of time. Then comes the day when I am shooting with a 70-200. I kept backing up trying to frame the shot til I realized I had a zoom.
