Help choosing a portrait lens

I use the 85L and it works great.

So looking at the photos, there are several lenses that appear to be used. So the "which lens" question is really about which lens you want. Some look like 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm. Looks like most are taken at f4, f5.6, etc so a simple 24-70 f2.8 should cover most of that.

The real key to this photographer's work is lighting and no lens is going to deliver that.
