Mr. Bill posted some great Thunderbird shots from the Amigo Airsho. I wanted to share a few of the other performers from this weekend. I still have a lot to learn with the high action prop planes, but these are a few of my 'keepers' thanks to the great info and tips here on POTN. All feedback welcome. Thanks!

That first shot of Skip is outstanding!

I would have been tempted to "punch up" the colors, but I think it looks great with the muted tones. Was that just a cloud, or did you post-process it a bit?

You say you have a lot to learn...I say you seem to be well learned. Great shots! #3 is my favorite

Thank you very much!

Geoff, I wish all of my pictures had that 'punch' you are referring too that I see so often. I tried in most but I sometimes have a tendency to over process, and need to scale things back to be a little more natural. The first one was thanks to the clouds. It was mostly cloudy when the show first started but actually cleared up quick. I did gradient burn the top and bottom of the pictures with a slight dodge and brightness increase in the middle in attempt to help draw the eye in, but most levels remain true. Skip puts on a fun show to watch!

I really appreciate that. My wife is frustrated how much time I spend reading and researching online lol. Of course I owe most of these to the high burst rate of the 7D. I can't say I had the best 'trash-to-keeper' ratio

Great series, 7 and 8 are simply fabulous T-bird shots. I'm with Jay on the processing, do I smell Nik software?

Thank you very much guys. Means a lot.

mat vanella, I'm itching for another one too! Unfortunately this is one of the only ones in my local area than I am aware of :(

ChunkyDA, Thanks! 100% of my work is uploaded and processed though Lightroom 3. I've been eyeing NIK software for a while now. Hopefully soon!

Wow, stunning. I too am eyeballing Nik but I need to upgrade my computer to run the OpenGL.
