Oct 23, 2012 23:27 | #9 Very nice first post. That white stuff above the bridge on the left is dirt/marks/water spots on the front of your lens or filter. Point sources of light like the lights on the bridge will show that stuff more than a daylight image. The smeared pinpoints above and to the right do look like star trails from a long exposure, like a minute or more. Dave

Thank you for all the input, yes I had dust on my lens & there were planes in the background. I had the shutter open for 2 minutes. I am looking forward to posting more pictures.
