Maureen, keep the Yosemite pics coming. I'm jealous because I wish that I lived as close to Yosemite as you do. I was there summer of 2004 and loved it. It made me wonder why I waited so long to get there in the first place (I was 52 ). We were going to be there again this past summer but my wife had some major health problems so we had to cancel. We've rescheduled for next June so I'm already getting ready for that. Thanks for the great pics. Keep them coming & keep making us all jealous. :)

Maureen, there is no such thing as "enough of Yosemite"
Beautiful shots on both. Thanks for sharing them

Thanks Jim & Herb. I can't count the number of times I've gone into that park, camped there many, many nights over the years and it's beauty takes my breath away every time. Have you ever taken the midnight tram ride through the valley floor in the summer? The full moon over those huge granite cliffs is just spectacular and I highly recommend it to all who visit at that time of year.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Nice captures of the beautiful place, Maureen. It's at the top of my list to visit. I didn't even notice to people in the picture until you mentioned it. :)
When is the best time of the year to visit such beautiful park, Maureen?

I had no idea that the falls were THAT big. Yosemite and Machu Pichu are definately on my list of "must visit" places.

Don't know why, but I'm really in a "SNOW" mood these days and would love to see snow photos of the place.

I must admit that although the photos are great I like the Velvia pp further down the thread of the rocks.

Great plan to leave the people in for scale purposes too!

Fee, the waterfalls are at their most spectacular in May and into June..... I cannot even begin to tell you how humongous they are and how loud they are. Definitely worth the trip as there are several more falls in the park and all within hiking distance. This one is Lower Yosemite Fall; above it and to the right is Upper Yosemite Falls. A bit of a climb but again, worth it. You can see them both together from across the meadow to the east.
