I'm in need of purchasing a case for my 2 Alien Bee 800's with reflectors and cords. I'd like something similar to a Pelican with the option to add a 3rd Alien Bee.

Does anyone have a suggestion or firsthand knowledge of a good reasonably priced case with foam that would work ?

Thanks in advance.

I bought this case for around $60 roughly a year ago... kinda solid, but definitely not Pelican-like.... handle, wheels, and a fair bit of room for stuff... I also carry 2 umbrellas, 2 softboxes, 5 PW TT5s + AC9s, and power cables and extension cords...

I use a Pelican 1564 to hold two Elinchrom 600RX strobes, two Vagabond Mini Lithiums, reflectors, cords, triggers and a few other little accessories. I believe the Alienbees are actually a little smaller so you should be able to fit the same.

I'm still looking for a way to carry my PCB lights. I use just use a roller duffel to hold a pair of Einsteins (in PCB bags), and an ABR800 (in a PCB bag). The problem is that it's way bulky and I barely hold all three like that. Although, each light is really padded.

I just want something very small to hold all three, yet still have some padding.

I use this, http://www.homedepot.com …toreId=10051#.UIiXAobkpbA (external link)

I put my Einstein and WL1600 in there along with all the power cords, reflectors, and grids. I wrap each strobe in fleece for protection. I used to put my strobes in my rolling duffel with my light stands, but it got to be too heaving and difficult to manage.

I use the husky rolling tote, http://www.homedepot.com …toreId=10051#.UIidLqNMh8E (external link) Works for transporting, padding could be better, but I'm careful so good with it, and you can always figure out a way to pad it more.

Here is my portable lighting setup. I am really happy with the outcome of it!

Note the power chords have been updated to 3ft chords and are under the vagabond mini's.

This is the case I used to store 2 Paul C. Buff Einstein strobes, they fit securely with enough room around them, These might be able to survive a fall

Plano 108021 Gun Guard AW Large $59.99
interior dimensions: 17" long x 12" wide x 7.25" high

http://www.amazon.com …MIU&coliid=I2A3VYH1QOXGK9 (external link)

When I get another case for 2 more einsteins I'm gonna use this one, it's a little bit more roomy around the edges:

Plano 108031 AW XL $63.80
interior dimensions: 18.75" long x 14.25" wide x 8.25" high

http://www.amazon.com …MIU&coliid=I14RRDZ5N68JMR (external link)

here's pics of the Plano 108021 , if I could do it agin I'd put them closer to the edges because the middle part is thin, not a big deal though
