I took a drive down to Washington DC this week and walked around the Mall. Here are a few of my snapshots.

I never take my equipment in because I have two boys 8, 6 and they always want to hold my hands. But those are great pictures. Hope you had fun and it wasn't too cold. I love taking pictures of DC, so may different and interesting things to see! Next time you go, visit the Modern Art museum, you can get some really cool shots of the sculptures and etc., here's one I took
Also- how in the HECK did you get that close to the WHite House, with a CAMERA no less?? When I went, I couldn't even get across the street! Are you a ninja? Good job on those. "There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept" -Ansel Adams

Thanks for all the nice comments. Eagle wrote: How did you get the pic of the White House above the fence? I climbed up the fence and threw my leg over the top to brace myself. I managed to snap off a couple shots before the Secret Service pulled me down from the inside of the fence. I must have landed pretty hard on my back because I don't remember much after that.

I love DC, but haven't been there in many years. I must consider another visit there. Stan (See my gallery at http://www.pbase.com/sparker1
