Interesting. Recently, we've seen a string of companies that have a long-standing, documented history of shady practices and bad reviews...but they're doing business on eBay with relatively decent reviews. For example, Big Value Inc has an absolutely horrible background and years of documented scams, but they're track record on eBay is really good and everyone that recently ordered a Canon 5D Mark III during the recent eBay deal received a good 5D MIII in a very timely manner. The only potential issue was that it may be a grey market item...but that wasn't entirely clear...and Canon USA may service them anyway if there was an issue.
Now here's this company. DataVision. Selling the 5D Mark III on eBay for a good price. They have about the worse ratings you could possibly imagine on Reseller Ratings, but they're eBay rating is relatively decent. (A close look at their eBay track record shows a bad rating about 1.5% of the time over the last year.) Again, the store itself gets terrible reviews, but they seem to do business fairly well on eBay.
What gives? If you're going to serve customers well on eBay, why not do the same with your regular internet store front?
