As of a few minutes ago, both B&H and Adorama have lowered the price of the Canon 5D Mark III. The body is now $3,199 at both retailers! Kit prices have been adjusted too and can be viewed at their websites.

Good to see the price coming down. Happy shopping!

Yep, there's a dedicated multi-page thread that's discussing that price/company right next to this one.

The real meaning behind this thread is the fact that the price has officially been lowered across the board. You can certainly buy it even cheaper with coupons, and passing good deals, but the great news is that the everyday price has now been lowered by $250. This means that over time, we might even see lower-priced E-Bay Daily Deals etc. It may take awhile, but it's a trend in the right direction.

$2899 with $57 ebay bucks, so about $2842... not too bad imo.

Yep, Kwando, don't hesitate. Buy now!

Dasani, $2,650 would be a great deal, but I came close getting my Mark III for $2,710 in late June.

If you use cash back sites like Mr Rebates, you can get another 3% cash back plus $50 Adorama gift card (external link) if you're using Visa credit card to pay.

But I'm sure the price will go down even lower by the end of the year.

huh, wish I'd known about that. I've bought a bunch of stuff from Adorama, I'd have paid with my Visa just for the $$..
