Good book on PSE3 for Mac and PSE4 for PC?

I'm sure this has been asked 1337 times before, but I need some direction. Post processing is my absolute, number one weak point when it comes to photography...therefor​e, the one thing I need to brush up on more than anything else.

Can anyone recommend a book or two for me? Anyone else find it odd that Mac and PC are on different versions of PSE?
