Lava Background / New genre for me C&C Please

So I went on a camping trip w/ some friends and took All my gear just so I'd have it. I ended up finding this standing piece of lava and thought it would make for a killer background. I scooped up one of the girls (not a model but enjoys having her picture taken) and scored what I think are a few good shots. below are two images out of about a dozen. I've never created anything like this before but I think I will continue to explore this type of photgraphy....

face and neck could use some skin work...and if you had the room you should have moved her out a little got the flash behind her more


So if God made Man & Woman....whats his excuse for Nikon...

another girl thought it looked like fun and wanted to give it a shot (although she seemed to be a little less comfortable than the first girl)...here's a couple more

They're actually sisters...(2 of 6, the other four were not into it hahaha!!)here they are during the camping trip...
