Does anybody have a picture of this lens attached to a body? Prefereably an XT/350D... or a side by side size comparison shot with a 70-200 F4 or kit lens or something?

Thanks a bunch. This lens has tweaked my interest!!

Those are not my pics, I got them from photozone.de. I have used this lens with my 20D and the results were fantastic, my only concern was with the 136mm FOV. It can be a little to long on a 1.6x crop body if you want to shoot people full length, I will probably accept my fate and buy one anyway!

LOL, I've been playing with my 24-105 set to 85mm for fun. It is a little long, but that might not be a problem.

Do you have any shots that you'd like to share? I'd love to see some more sample shots. I searched PBase based on that lens and have seen some spectacular results (even with a 300D) and some underwhelming shots that didn't seem L at all. I'm not sure if this lens is really all that special, or just the people that have it have figured out how to PP and get the most out of it.

Schmoelzel is the Master at using this lens and in the post processing. The link below has a couple of shots of his daughter in it, and as usual they are spectacular (sorry Seinfeld.)

EF 85 f/1.2 L - 2nd generation ?

If the link doesn't work just type that thread title into the search link.

There are several other posts from him that are worth searching for.

Actually 136 FOV isn't so bad for head shots. I mean I love using the 135mm L for that soul purpose.

Yeah, it will be perfect for that... plus, it would be a killer outdoors lens I think.
