Yah, people don't realize how much pressure and work is involved in shooting a wedding perfectly.

Great pics. I'm just hoping that you were able to get

a) the ring bearer coming down the aisle with the sign
and
b) the grooms reaction to that

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

I see you have the 24-105 and the 70-200 IS II. You have some great lenses for this kind of thing.

Yes, thanks, I used the 70-200 & the 24-105 for this wedding. Love them both! Lots of pressure and very busy before, during & after the wedding. But all in all I enjoyed it, I think!

Well put. I myself have my first wedding booked for next year, although I have been vigorously shooting with people I went to school with and that I've met. Lots of good tips, but even with some of the equipment I have, I still feel lack luster but know I can get a job well done with it.

1. Processing:
As per your processing, I am not really sure why you had placed the vignettes in. Any reason why? I would like to see the images without. Do you use lightroom or strictly photoshop? Honestly, for the price, you should try and swap 24-105 for a 24-70. 2.8 for receptions and ceremony which willhelp quite a bit in low lighting situations.

Another tip would be for your flash to pick up some diffusion. Your lighting is extremely harsh and from these photographs are frontal lighting, which is not too flattering(imo). When you're in the reception doing the cake cutting and candids of the guests, try and reflect your light off the ceiling, it will create nice diffusion for you and give you pleasing shadows. When your light is off camera like it seems in the Grom & Bride portrait with that sunday, I'd suggest you pick up a small softbox or if you have a second shooter, pick up a nice reflector because that sun could have definitely done some nice fill light.

On a positive note, that photograph at the ceremony is very good. Excellent lighting, great scene!!!

Great shots for your first wedding, just please get rid of the white vignettes.
