I just dowoaded Capture One and am looking to find some good resources on learning the software. Free and opine would be my preference, but all suggestions are appreciated.

So far I have just been using the online help throught the C1 website which includes basic written and video tutorials.

I've always found that the videos on the Phase One site to be a good starting point that illustrate the basics of the routine in question. From there it is simply a matter of practice. There is a YouTube channel that normally will have a few more in-depth tutorials and this is at Phase One DK (external link) but some of these are the same as the ones on the Phase One site. You can find some other videos on YouTube by other authors. There is a blog by the same person at Phase One Blog (external link). Phase One does do workshops in larger centers from time to time. I would imagine they would be holding a series of these in the not too distant future since they have a new release out. They do have a user forum (external link) which you can get an answer on in a decent time frame. These workshops are normally split into those that are interested in their cameras and those that only want to learn the software. Given that this new release is only a matter of days old I doubt you are going to find much that is specific to this version. If you are a registered user I have found that starting a support case even to get an answer to a question is a good way to resolve your issue. They are pretty good at answering within 24 hours. They also have a decent knowledge base you can query.

Phase One has always viewed the Capture One software as a necessity to support their camera bodies. I get the impression from them that feel that those that are buying into their systems are more experienced users and don't need the entry level instructions that so many other software applications seem to get written for them by independent authors. Perhaps there is an opportunity for someone that knows the software and is good technical writer.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.
