Anyone know how shooting video affects the shutter count (actuations) on a DSLR? For example, does it register 1 shutter count per start and stop of video? Or does the camera increment the shutter count for each frame captured?

The sensor and any other electronic components that heat up with extended use. (Remember the 1D Mk III focus issues the first year or so? I seem to recall that traced back to an overheating component in the AF system.) Alan Myers
