I had a few shots showing sky also but it was completely blown out so I went with one of the images without sky.

Pretty scene - you live in some beautiful country but you must be getting ready for it to turn all white.

Looking at the image on flickr I would suggest more contrast and some saturation. Looking at this one I think it looks fine. The stream provides some leading lines and the color looks good.

I really like the road thru the woods on your flickr site though. Great lines/composition and the trees are standing out individually.

Was thinking the same thing - did you take this from a bridge?
(still a nice image as is)

Dave, Some very beautiful country indeed. Most of my scenery photos are within a half hour of the house. Some days I wonder what I did to deserve to live here! We are getting ready for white. It could start anytime. Then a whole new set of challenges as far as learning to shoot snow.

Regarding the road through the trees on Flickr, I am happy with it though I felt it looked a little over sharpened on Flickr but not on my monitor.

Stanclark and Spike44, this image was taken from a bridge. In fact it was a bit treacherous in that there was a heavy coating of frost on the bridge and no railings! It is a logging bridge so I guess the railings aren't required.

Bianchi, We are getting ready for Sandy. No way to know for sure yet how much we will be hit but time will tell. There is also a storm from the west and a cold front from our friends in Canada. One forecaster is calling it a noreaster with a hurricane in the middle. Time will tell.
