My daughter is always trying to take my camera when I am trying to get some photos of her.
So I figured I'd let her play with the ole 20d to keep her distracted.

Great shots and I love it when kids get involved with photography. My only suggestion would be to remove the grip and I'll bet she'll be able to handle it a little better. It's probably too big for her at the moment. Keep her going though. Love seeing this kind of stuff.

I'm thinking of buying that Nifty Fifty for my daughters camera. I think she'd love the Bokeh. :)

She has grown a lot recently! I feel like she is soo big. Then realize she is only half the size of her 1st grade classmates. :)

Originally the camera was more of a prop/distraction. I didn't think there were even batteries in it.
She then proceeded to turn it on, take the lens cap off, and started snapping pics.
Apparently she watches me more than I had realized. Unfortunately there wasn't a cf card in it.
There will be one next time. As well as removed grip.
She was soooo excited!

that is awesome to be able to share your passion with your daugther. she is very cute and seems to love being on both sides of the camera.

I know when I have a kid of my own ill have to buy two more bodies with the amount of shots I'm going to end up taking

it should be fun to see what she can capture

This made me giggle. my younger son is in 5th grade and he is CONSTANTLY mistaken for a 2nd-3rd grader! LOL Poor boy will be the smallest one in middle school (!!! YIKES !!!) next year if he doesn't have a major growth spurt this year! She definitely looks taller from pictures you posted over the summer, and still just as pretty as ever! :D

These are great shots! This last year my 8 year old son informed me he wanted to learn to take pics like me...made my day. I set him up with my old Elan 7 and couple rolls of film... we have a blast together. I need to find him a nice used digital SLR now. Would love to see some of her pics in future.
Best,
Doug
