Mid-America Speedway Halloween Race

The season-ending motorcycle race at the Mid-America Speedway always has a rare mixture of motorsports and costuming. Since the race comes just before Halloween, riders are encouraged to don costumes along with their protective gear.

This is always a visually interesting race, and since the setting sun cooperated for once, the lighting was good. At this 1/5-mile dirt oval, you can get as close to the riders as you dare.
