I downloaded some images today from a CF card I rarely use and found a couple of surprises. My 8 year old daughter took a self portrait and a picture of her sister and the dog. I would not have minded if she had used her P&S, the wife's G2 or possibly the 300D but she used my 20D. Needless to say she is now grounded. I thought the pics turned out pretty good, although I didn't tell her that. ;)

Looks to me like you have a budding photog in the family. I love her smug look in #1 and #2 is an excellent capture.

Thanks Fslshooter and Ctymom. The wife and I got a good chuckle out of it. They are typical Natalie shots, whenever she uses her camera, the G2 or the 300D (when I'm with her) she takes a self portrait. This is the best one so far though.

She did not get a very harsh punishment either.

I second that. Heck, she has better focus in those shots than I do in most of mine!

Thanks Brandy and Nicole. When her punishment is over tomorrow I'm going to let her read all of the nice comments.

Awww, give the kid a break - seems like she understands the process...of course, that is easy for me to say, none of my kids understand the camera, nevermind how to get into the bag...:)

Keep fostering the love for photography, it is something she will enjoy for life...

Thanks Joe. She's an awesome kid who would rather play with PS and Illustrator than games on her computer.

Well Chris grounding may be a bit harsh, you have to admit she only wanted to use the best on the best. Very nice shots for 8.:) :) :)
