I don't usually shoot people, but lately I've been getting into some more candid photography again, and shot a few while on a trip to Beijing, China a few weeks ago:
My favourite: An army guard at the Gate of Heavenly Peace; the entrance to Tiananmen Square, with Chairman Mao Zedong looking over his shoulder:
An old man doing some traditional writing at the Summer Palace:
A child checking out some of the street food for sale, including live scorpions (that are then dipped in hot oil and fried, then eaten):
