Hi folks.
I am looking at the 5Dmk3 and I have two questions.
I wanted to check out the low ISO shadow noise situation. I know this continues to be the cause of some angst online. Now I realise that Canon haven't given the option to push shadows hard in post like the D800 has but I'm guessing that in normal circumstances this shouldn't matter too much and wouldn't be a deal breaker.
1. I'm assuming that by simply making a reasonable exposure in the first place this problem disappears. Even if you had to up the ISO a fair bit, the shadows wouldn't be noisier than files produced by the competition. This is correct is it not?
2. If you use the Shadow slider in LR4 to boost the shadows a bit does this cause you problems?
I'd welcome frank opinions as to whether or not you d5mk3 users feel this is an issue in your use of the camera
Thanks folks
Willie
