Had (made)the opportunity to drive through this area a couple of days ago. Weather was a little rugged at times (saw 4 degrees F, not bad for October). We we were traveling on a schedule so couldn't do justice to the scenery we saw. Really need to find a way back there with some time...

Like the first two, subdued tones, great textures.

Very nice. I spent time in that area late June-early July this year. The scenery is beautiful, the "badlands" around Dubois quite impressive.

Thanks all. Definitely an area to return to. Some of the last blue skys we saw. The clouds were down on the Tetons and it was snowing all the way through Yellowstone. Would have loved an extra day with some clearing, what a lot of incredible scenery.

Dang,... there are so many beautiful areas I haven't seen. I need to get out more often. I love the effect of those 'tiered' mountain stratas.

Nice shots, this is an incredible area. I used to hike there a lot, I haven't been back since I started taking photos but it's high on my list!
