Interesting you should mention the squawking. Not being a die hard birder I didn't know what they were. Went to our new Audubon app on the iPod and were able to id by the squawking. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks, the shot was taken from a long way off with less than optimum equipment (Canon 70-200/2.8 w/2X extender). I'm pleased that the 7D could maintain focus.

These are some of the more interesting birds IMO, great fun, much noise, and they seem to be rather intense once on the ground, fighting and jumping around.
