JVC GC-XA1 ADIXXION

Has anyone come across this product yet? I have very little experience with digital video.

I was thinking of giving a family member a goPro then someone showed me a brochure on this item.

too few accessories to make it truly useful.
GoPro latest is only $199 ....maybe thats a better buy

I've been very happy with my Hero 2 and the Hero 3 is meant to be even beter.

They are certainly robust but the screen back might be a good addition if being used as a casual camera in addition to a stunt camera.

Wi-Fi and screen monitor got my attention... but is it worth the extra cost?... not sure until actual reviews starts coming in.

Interesting, I haddint seen the JVC. I have a Hero2 and I really like it. What sold me was the footage and also the durability. People have tested these and Gopro has delivered. On youtube Some guys sent one into space via high altitude baloon and it survived...another guy lost his while sky diving and it survived the impact from thousands of feet up. And a surfer in CA had his gopro fall off of his surfboard....he put up lost gopro flyers at that beach and 2 moths later after being tossed around by the ocean, some fishermen found and returned it. It still worked! not to mention if you accidentally scratch the Gopro housing, you can replace it. What I love about it is that I am not afraid to put it in danger or risky spots, where I guard my Canon with my life and wouldint put it half the places of the gopro.
