I had the privilege of shooting for the Audi Club of GA two weeks ago at their HPDE event at the new Atlanta Motorsports Park. I had never shot there before, its a brand new track, it was fun learning a new patch of ground, how to get where, and when to shoot where...when will track designers start to think about us photogs....:rolleyes:, they put the best corners in places that will never see good light...but I had mixed conditions all weekend, so I got to shoot at a lot of places. These are just 6 of my favorites.

#4 1/20...slowest of the weekend that was usable...still working on getting those to work.

#6...this corner has the most potential, but unless the sky is overcast you can't shoot there, the sun will never shine in this direction...so its a bit more flat, but I still like this corner.

Yeah, I have about 6 other images competing for my top 8....i have not narrowed it down yet...3 of them are Audi's...a TT black Heffner R8, a stock white R8 and an APR tuned TTRS...the two winners will get added....

Nice set. Shame about the light. I have a schedule set to drive this track. Don't know about photos but have two photoshoots that are supposed to happen there. We'll see the results once we get it started.

Thanks. I was pretty happy with the set. For a lot of the cars I have to play it safe, to make sure I get good clean images for the drivers...but I can't help but play a little more with some of them. It is a shame that the track is laid out like it is, but oh well, the cloudy conditions Friday and Sunday made it so that I could shoot all over.

I plan to add this track to my driver/instructor resume in 2013...now that I have seen it, I have to drive it too.

I'll let you know. Heard mixed feelings about the track. One that is concerning is that it is 'trying too hard' to be awesome.

That might apply to those that run the track...but from my close vantage point, as a driver/instructor...it looks awesome...
