Hey guys,
I have an older yn565 that crapped out on me. It's doing full power dumps or not syncing at all, and I've been told it's the capacitor. I bought it used so chances of Yongnuo fixing it are slim to none. Does anyone know of any DIY fixes out there for it? Thanks in advance!!

You were told wrong. If it is delivering full power then it is not the capacitor. If there were a problem with the capacitor it would take longer to charge or not be able to charge.

The problem could be the IGBT (switch) that turns off the current to the flash tube. Not easy to get and more difficult to change than a capacitor.

As far as not syncing, hard to say. Maybe there is a soldering problem. Not that that would help you.

shoot, ah well, thanks for the response though. I just thought it was a common problem. my guess was the capacitor delivered power to something else, and was unloading it's full capacity opposed to little amount
