B&H has the 5D Mark III on sale through the 24th of November for $2994. Not quite as good a deal as Adorama just had but pretty close.

It's only the regular price on Amazon because they match B&H's price.

If anything it's B&H that would have to match Amazon, not the other way around. Amazon doesn't need to match anyone's prices, there's are already usually the lowest.

Amazon matches other stores' prices all the time. For instance during Black Friday sales they usually look at competitors' sales and match their prices.

I don't know who matched who this time and I don't care. Low prices everywhere = good for everyone!

Yep, Amazon did the same thing last week when Best Buy was the first to go to $3,199. It doesn't really matter who drops their pants first, as long as they do and that it benefits us. I'm just glad I got on the Adorama deal last week.

Cheers,
Laurent

According to B&H's site the 200 USD off ends November 24th which is black Friday. I am interested to see if there will be an even lower price then on cyber Monday or even that very Friday.

When I buy one, I would rather get it from B&H or Adorama than Amazon. I suspect I would get better service from a camera store.

The one time I had to return a camera to Amazon it was hassle free and I've never had a problem returning items there. Having said that, B&H and Adorama have great customer service with more of a personal touch.

It seems that adorama has increase the price to the normal amount and then applied the $200 rebate instead of taking away the rebate to from the reduced amount like bhphoto.

It's a good price in comparison to its introductory pricing. I expect the price will drop to $2800 or even lower by year end.
