Couple of ND / CPL filters.. And on their website it says that their main address is in N.Y.. does this mean I won't be getting my items for at least a couple of weeks (even though my delivery time says 4-6 business days) because of the storm going on in N.Y at the moment?
I'm from Australia.

This was just posted to the B&H web page.

Please take note: Due to Hurricane Sandy the carriers are not operating today, you might expect a short delay in receiving your order. By tomorrow October 31st, everything should be back to normal.

And I just received this from them via e-mail in reference to some Marshall monitors we ordered on Sunday which are probably not going to be here in time for the air-show. :-(

Dear Valued Customer

Please be advised that due to Hurricane Sandy the carriers are not operating today and therefore there is a delay in sending out your order.

By tomorrow we should be back to our regular schedule. Rest assured we are doing the utmost to ship your order as soon as possible.

We appreciate your patience

Personally, I think it's pretty impressive that things would be back to anything even resembling "normal" that soon.

Generic comment shipping and other services, not B&H specific.

I thought that their main warehouse is in New Jersey. Not that that makes a difference, of course, it's still hurricane central.

They have warehouses in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and in Joisey.

B&H has always done well by me.

I'm kind of surprised they'll be back to normal tomorrow. NY & NJ got creamed.

They're not going to be back to normal by tomorrow the Brooklyn Navy Yard is without power and flooded.

And it may get worse, I just came across a story where a nukie power plant near Toms River in Jersey is having problems keeping the spent fuel pools cooled and may have to resort to hitting them with fire hoses as they cannot run the heat exchangers.

Talk about a Fukushima Daiichi in New Jersey??

I just placed an order for the 24L II about an hour ago. I'm really hoping that I can receive the lens before next Friday, since I'm going on holidays overseas the next day.

I've got something on order also from them that has a rebate available if purchased by October 31. I'm not sure it order confirmation qualifies or not, but considering the devastation back there, my rebate is small potatoes.

I placed and order on Monday night and about an hour later realized what I had done. Those people have more on their plate than they can handle right now. I got an apology email yesterday stating they are behind due to Sandy. I emailed them back telling them to get camera/lens orders out first and not to worry about mine since it was a minor order. Got an email today telling me it has been shipped.
