I received my new 5D Mark III and now I h=of course need the battery grip. Has anyone used an off brand. $200 savings if I get this.

I don't have a mkiii but I have never liked off brands because I feel most are cheaply made and just don't have the build quality of canons grips. Plus my off brand didn't have a spot for the battery door so I lost it as a result. Ha

I had the zeikos grip with the 5D2 but just purchased the bg-e11 for my 5d3. Its so solid, I think its a worthy investment for the 5d3!

For my 60D. Works great (yes, I use the one made for the 60D). Feels solid, reads both batteries, no detectable drain (but I do turn it off when not using it). I'd go with them if/when I get a 5D iii.
