Just put W8 on to my laptop - nae Canon support at all for the G1X (and probably the rest)

Wonder how long before they catch up?:eek:

Bill, this is the price to be on the bleeding edge of technology, I would guess it shouldn't be too long

yup. i'm going to take a hard look at it in the spring. should be up to Service Pack 2 by then.

It won't even accept the CD. Personally, it's not a problem as I download straight into LR4 and there is no problem with that!

A slight tangent here. W8 is pretty slick and very intuitive. If you just want the improved 'engine', you can click on to the desktop tile and you're back into W7.
