Loudest show ever. I could hear the bass pounding from the venue 3+ blocks away when I left. Mimosa's bass box was set-up dead center in the photo pit...had to stand directly in front of it to get some shots and the sound waves from it were literally pushing me back.

Although Mimosa was the headliner, most of the shots I liked from this show were of the opener JMSN. Never heard of them before but I'm a big fan now.

Great set! I like 4 and 5 a lot, and I think you did a good job on the crowd shot.

Thanks! I think the crowd shots are my 'signature' shot now, just because I'm so tall (6'6"). That combined with my fisheye usually results in some great perspective shots of the crowd & stage.

Ha! I'm significantly shorter and have to lift my camera for crowd shots... lucky you!

Solid set, nice variation.

I like what you tried in #3, but a bit more guitar player might have been nice, as well as hem being a bit more to the right.

Thanks Rene. Yeah, I was going for some abstract Corbijn-esque composition when I took that. Here's a more straightforward one from the same angle that you might like more:

This crop is better I think. The effect is still achieved but it doesn't look as strange.

Yeah, the "shape" of the guitarplayer is better with the space in between the two.

I prefer the lesser DoF in the first though.

I tried something similar a few times. I like it:

Love that overall perspective of the room in the last one.
