Having a T2i and a 60d, I gotta say I like the 60d better. It just feels better in the hand and the UI of it is better. From CLP the 60d can be had @ $640 +tax if applicable. That's a good price.

Just curious ? The viewfinder - it gives 100% view. I truly hate getting a different composition/framing in my image from what I see at 95-96%. Also, while I'm ok with the size of the Rebels, I think I'd like the bigger body a little bit more. Unfortunately, there are no brick & mortar camera stores here anymore, so I can't even go get a feel for them. If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?

Oct 31, 2012 17:28 | #19 There are more reasons to want a 7D than just for sports. They're built tougher than a Rebel with their magnesium alloy bodies and weather sealing. Better auto focus points. The higher FPS are also good for wide-life photography. I started with a T2i and got the 7D for the points I mentioned above. I knew the image quality would be comparable so that wasn't a reason for my decision. I just wanted a stouter camera. I still have the T2i and use it quite often. My only concern with getting the 7D was the size since I didn't get to hold one prior to purchasing. I'm a small person with small hands but the size or weight don't bother me at all. YMMV

I just have to sell off some stuff, and I'll be calling them. Freakin' awesome! If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?

As most people said, the ergonomics and controls of the 60D are much better than any of the Rebels. What surprises me is that nobody has mentioned the AF system of the 60D. It is hugely better than any of the Rebels.

Nov 01, 2012 07:25 | #24 The 50D is a formidable camera. I have shot with it along side my 1DM3 for several years and it has done quite well. If you don't care about video, its something to consider. The 60D went to a more compact body, which I didn't care for. Mike

I just checked the specs. You are right as rain. Thanks for updating my aging brain. T4i AF system is identical to 60D. That is a very big improvement for the Rebel line.

Nick3434 Goldmember More info | I went from a 450d to a 60d and am thrilled. Much better Iso and after using a body with duel dials and top LCD, I could never go back. I think the dials and LCD alone, plus the better viewfinder make a 60d perfect for you. I got it for sports because frankly I don't NEED a 7d and I am putting the saved money toward a ff body in near future. You will be very pleased with a 60d. Everything is relative.

The faster burst rate and deeper buffer also come in handy. The benefit of live view means different things to different people but I find it invaluable when using legacy lenses as you can zoom in to 100% and achieve perfect focus using these old manual lenses, focusing manual glass on the 350d was an unpleasant experience. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fatdeeman/
