Trying a new style and wondering if I'm alone to like it... Which one do you prefer ?

I'm not really a great fan of selective colour that much any more. Saying that the muted colours of the last shot do seem to work. The leopard seems to sit better against those muted colours. Losing the Blue/purple colour from both the rock and the lighter fur is much nicer. I expect a big lump of granite should be a nice neutral grey anyway.

The old low saturation hand coloured effect of the second shot is not too bad, and could look Ok as a print in the right setting.

My problem with spot colour comes from seeing the Fauxtography website, with all those terrible images from so called pros on it.

The only selective colored one that I might even remotely like here would be the tiger, it makes him stand out a littel bit better. The other ones are better without the selective coloring. It would appear that all you did was do a color selection based on green and made that mono. Even the green stripe in the shirt of a person was muted as a result.

I do like selective colored images but only in the right image. I haven't seen very many landscape shots where I felt it made the image better. In these I think it takes away from the overall impact of the images. Selective coloring is a very personal thing, some like it, some don't. I think it is one of the things that people overdo when they learn how to do it post production. At the end of the day does it really matter what a bunch of strangers think about your images, how do you feel about them, that is what should matter.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.
